Cookie

Information notice and consent acquisition for the use of cookies on the web portal coeep.org pursuant to Provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014 of the Italian Data Protection Authority.

What are cookies?

Below is the definition contained in point 1 of the introduction to the aforementioned Provision of the Authority:
Preliminary considerations. Cookies are small text strings that the websites visited by the user send to their terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites at the next visit by the same user.
While browsing a website, the user may also receive cookies on their terminal sent by different websites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which certain elements (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site the user is visiting may reside.

Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or insofar as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see Art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website.
They may be divided into browsing or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, a purchase to be made or authentication to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example language or products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
The installation of such cookies does not require the prior consent of users, while the obligation to provide the information pursuant to Art. 13 of the Regulation remains, which the website manager may provide in the manner deemed most appropriate.

Cookies help improve the services we offer you, for example:

  • They make certain commonly used services possible
  • They allow a service to recognize your device so you do not have to enter the same information multiple times during an activity.
  • They recognize that you have already provided a username and password when you logged into the web portal coeep.org, so you do not have to repeat the operation for each requested web page.
  • They calculate how many users are using the services, in order to facilitate their use and ensure the capacity necessary for fast navigation.

If you do not authorize us to use cookies, certain functions and pages may not operate as expected.

If you wish to delete cookie files that may already be present on your computer, read the instructions of your browser by clicking the “Help” item in the relevant menu.

Optional nature of data provision

Aside from what is specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide the personal data indicated in forms or registration procedures. Failure to provide them may make it impossible to obtain what is requested.

Processing methods

Personal data are processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.
Specific security measures are adopted to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.

Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller, in the cases provided for, access to personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing concerning them, or to object to the processing (Arts. 15 et seq. of the Regulation). Requests must be addressed to the Public Relations Office located at Piazza Bligny no. 2, 00197 Rome

If data subjects believe that the processing of their personal data carried out through this site has occurred in violation of the Regulation, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the Authority or to take appropriate legal action (Arts. 77 and 79 of the Regulation).
